Rasmus noted, "Today, bidders who used to drive 100's of miles to bid at auction just point and click online. If they win at the bid online, they are happy to make the trip for pickup.

Next week Rasmus will be selling the former 120 employee Metro1 call center in Minneapolis. Every item from desk chairs to technology, the generator outside to the microwave in the break room goes under the digital hammer.

What happens to items, which don't sell? Items start at zero and sell to the highest bidder regardless of price. Rasmus noted, "after the pickup it will look like locust went through their."
